Smokey

This is from a photo I took of our Smokey. I was trying the Derwent lightfast oil based color pencils. They are very nice to use.

Photo transfer

After a few different attempts this is the most successful at photo transfer I have been. Still it isn’t great. I think on a hard surface it will work better. That will be my next try.

Working on Halloween

I love working with the images that go with this holiday. Dark images that are supposed to be scary. Maybe it is the making fun of death part that intrigues me. But dressing up and eating candy doesn’t seem to have anything to do with that,

Distraction

Some days are harder than others to stay focused on ones project. You get the occasional visitor who makes themselves comfortable on the work surface.. at other times they find the project itself to be very cozy.

Watercolor leaves

After attending a class for art journaling my thoughts turned to the things I enjoy painting. Using watercolor to paint relaxing objects.  I think I can learn a lot about the watercolor this way.

Lion for you

I have this new lion I wanted to use but I hate making too cutesy of things. The flowers are beautiful and I thought it was a nice mix.
