I had wanted to use this layered rose stamp for awhile. For me it took some practice to perfect. I used a shimmer embossed flower pattern for the background. I die cut some basic shapes to adhere the Rose to. I love the alphabet die I just got from Altenew. It will be very versatile with my designs. This is not a lot to this design but I like the result.

Mixed media Holiday
I wanted to layer a few different technique images for this project. I started with a background stencil of leaves. On the same paper I added individual leaf stencils. I used stencil brushes with the ink pads that I really love the result of. I used copper color paste on another stencil, I used it as a border of texture. The main image or focal point is a layered tree stamp. I die cut s few different feathers that are popped up over the tree image. Some glitter paper was used with some feathers to add some sparkle to the design.
Something festive for the season
Some images for the season that I chose to work with. I thought the Honey Bee bear and friends was just too cute. I heat embossed the images than water colored them. For sparkle I added a few different sequins. For the two Floral cards I used liquid adhesive to put the sentiment on vellum. I wrapped the vellum around the back to adhere it. I used Liquid Stella behind the sentiment on the bear and friends card. The shimmer is a nice addition.

Something I wish for
I fun very graphic stamp that was very fun to color. I made this right before I knew there was a kindness day. I hoped that the idea would stick for every day.
I embossed the image with a clear powder. Used Mozart watercolor markers to color and popped up the word and sentiment. It is hard to tell in the photo but I put some wink of Stella pen on the word kind.

A small reminder
I have been wanting to use these awesome papers in a project. These aren’t even half of them. More to use in the future. The idea I had was for women to remember to shine bright every day for themselves but also to bring others along with your brightness. They will than have bright of there own.

Expanding ideas
Sometimes a card format is too confining with design ideas. I wanted to use this stamp but because of its size it would have left little room for anything else. This size could be framed instead of a small card. The background is a stamp put down a number of times to fill the space. The next layer is a circle stencil that I modified to be longer.than my sentiment and leaf dies that I cut from watercolored paper.
Cutie witch and friends
I love these guys , so much fun to create with. I heat embossed a background stamp than layered a nice simple die. I watercolored the images with Zig clean color markers. I added birch tree dies and heat embossed the sentiment on vellum. I am pleased with the result. Textured layers with the cute images. I think the watercoloring adds to that texture.

Beautiful pattern paper
I have wanted to use this paper for a while. I think it is very pretty. So I tried with some die cut flowers. I’m not very happy with the result. Next time I will use smaller elements. It’s all experimentation.
Vellum and Halloween
I wanted to try putting the sentiment on vellum. I really like the translucent aspect. The challenge is to find a way to hide the adhesive.
Coloring fall cards
I used clean color brush markers for the middle image and than blended a little with a brush. The image on the left I used Koi brush markers. They don’t blend with a brush so I am not as happy with it. I did use some watercolor for there faces. I might just use watercolor for the third one.

Stamping
Stamping is usually not the main technique I use in a project. In both of these it turned out that way. I love the teardrop shape and wanted to use it like a geometric design element.
Texture
I am pretty happy with the outcome of these projects. I feel like I am getting l bit closer to having my on style. I love the many ways you can get texture and the simple geometric shapes can ground the images into an idea.
Halloween
Halloween is my favorite holiday if you can't tell by looking at my blog. Therefore I have a hard time stopping making projects to work on something else. But the ideas keep coming and I can't help it. The little bat girl I could not resist.

New technique Halloween card
I used versamark to stamp my background image and heat embossed with clear powder. I than ironed off the embossing using regular printer paper to absorb it. I love the effect.
Mixed media koi pond
Mixed media paper, watercolor, spectrum noire brush pens, Hero Arts Koi fish and water lillies. Catherine Pooler ink was used for stamping and Nuevo shimmer embossing paste.

I wanted to try a new shimmery embossing paste, although I did not emboss with it. I did what I wanted. Also had fun with a cloud stencil.

Paper flower
I have been wanting to use the oxide ink for awhile. The fun little flower gave me an idea to go with. I wish I could turn the close up picture 180'.
